ARTIST STATEMENT

With each brush stroke - a shape, a value , a color - I hope to push myself to the edge and not only create a unique work of art but also speak to men and women of all ages who long to grow beyond - age , oppression, fear - and dare boldly.
My current body of work includes figurative oil paintings which have been described as passionate and expressive. These works evolved from a desire to help bring forth the faces of women and children in all cultures. A portion of the  money raised from the sale of these paintings will help medical and educational centers in Uganda, Kenya and Haiti.
